March 2012 Exhibit...Suddenly...it's July 1972
We'll take a break from commerical jingles this month to focus on another disc from the Pepper Tanner Production Music Library I obtained. Delightfully dated music with campy messages that, keep in mind, was "new and hip" 40 years ago, and now just looks foolish today. That's the great thing about commericals, while we listen to a lot of music that is timeless, commericals always reflect the era they are produced in. It's a snapshot of the time.
These jingles certainly reflect that theory. Some of these include the sound signature of the 70s....the Wah Wah Pedal. Others, well, you'll just have to listen.
Also found with this disc (and included here) is a insert that seems to be more promotional then anything else, with testimonials of other discs in the series. If you believe this stuff, you'd probably buy a air conditioner for your igloo. Just sayin!
Enjoy!

I heard "Tanner-Gram" mentioned on a Creative Sales Service demo tape, and I'm glad to at least be able to see a Pepper-Gram. Thanks!
